Previous Scholarship Winners

Cameron Lowe, from Grand Saline, Texas, holds a private pilot’s license and has completed his IFR rating thanks to a scholarship. He is now working toward his commercial rating, aiming for roles in terrain mapping or a state flying job.

Nicholas Glover began his aviation mechanic career at Edge Aviation in high school and now works full time as an apprentice. He’s preparing for Baker School of Aeronautics and his FAA exams to earn his A&P, with a long-term goal of achieving IA certification.

Bart Harper, a Southwest Airlines flight attendant, holds private, instrument, and commercial ratings. With help from the Tailwind Airpark scholarship, he earned his CFI and aims to guide students through the challenging, costly path to their licenses.

Elias Stroud used the scholarship to complete his Private Pilot license, the first step toward an airline career. He attends Texas A&M’s School of Aviation Sciences in Killeen and will use continued support to advance his training toward becoming a commercial pilot.
